Cedar Joinery were employed by us to perform a kitchen extension. The outcome we desired was a modern extension to our kitchen and utility room to give more space, modernising the hot water heating system to reduce heating costs, and providing a panoramic view of the countryside behind the house. Cedar Joinery met these outcomes and we are very pleased with the quality of the finish. We practically live in the new kitchen whereas before we cooked in the kitchen but relaxed in the living room.

Immediately after the finalised architectural plan was approved by the Planning Department of Chester and Cheshire West Council, building work started in mid September with the breaking of ground for the new extension build. Work finished in mid December when we moved back into the kitchen.

Steve Gauterin of Cedar Joinery provided project management of the build, and with his professional expertise supported us in considering design options for the internal fitting out of the build.

I would highly recommend Cedar Joinery for a build of this type, and with the conduct of the tradesmen (plumbers, electricians, painters, plasterers, etc) who were employed onsite.The quality of the tradesmen’s work was very high and clean, and they were polite and most pleasant to deal with.

From start to finish, Steve was patient and conscientious, putting time aside to help us plan and more importantly get it right. Only when we were happy, was he happy. When we chopped and changed ideas, he remained calm and collected and remained professional throughout.

His standards were high and he worked hard, ensuring everything was top notch not only for his own work, but also for other contractors he used, ie painters. The end result was perfect as he came back to compete any snags with a smile and a bunch of flowers! We are very pleased with our main bathroom and bijou en-suite space.
